The trade exhibition dedicated to olive oil and wine supply chains, helded in Bari, is a real success. And it is already looking ahead for bigger and shared goals
With thousands and thousands of visitors present, the general satisfaction of exhibitors and the most vivid appreciation by professional organizations, universities, research institutions and all institutions, EnoliExpo is a central appointment in the national exhibition scene and makes Bari and Puglia its natural reference point.
A week after the end of the event, the organizers have also waited for the last reports of the questionnaires compiled by the exhibiting companies, to draw a final balance of an event that went beyond all expectations.
From all, no one excluded, a wish: that the La Nuova Fiera del Levante in Bari remains the site of this initiative and that, under the olive oil profile, EnoliExpo can develop more and more, alternating with Expoliva in Jaen (Spain). Because there are all the conditions for the trade event to reach the levels of the main world event dedicated to olive growing, especially if the synergies that have been strengthened during the three days, will be well fed to plan future editions in the best possible way.
But also from the standpoint of viticulture and oenology the opportunities for further growth have been evaluated and shared, in particular with Assoenologi who considers this important event to strengthen the competitiveness of the wine cellars of central and southern Italy.
The choice of combining a large exhibition area, a rich program of conferences where some of the major players in the olive oil and wine supply chains took part, as well as representatives of the Government, Parliament and the Region Puglia proved to be a winning choice to the goal of making EnoliExpo a moment of divulgation of technologies and knowledge for the benefit of those who manage olive groves and oil mills, vineyards and cellars. But also to address the most current problems, such as the Xylella or the new National Olive Oil Plan on the one hand, or how the new winemaking processes and the market prospects of our wines on the other.
More over, a significant presence of foreign operators, confirming how Bari can be central in the Mediterranean basin to attract the attention of the Balkan countries, Greece and Turkey, near the East, as well as North Africa.
This edition of EnoliExpo closes with a goodbye, with sincere thanks to the exhibitors, visitors, conference speakers, the many partners (starting with the University and the Chamber of Commerce of Bari), in short, to all those who, in one way or another, have contributed to the full success of this event.
